The Naintré family :

The House of Naintré is one of the oldest families of Poitou. After the dark times of French Revolution, every generation gave numerous magistrates and jurists.

In the 19th century, Mr. Naintré became the new owner of La Haute-Porte with his wedding with Miss Anjubault. During his life, Mr. Naintré considerably developed the estate. He also purchased numerous farms near the property. Moreover, he was the first who developed the hunting’s territory.

The Duchemin de Vaubernier family :

The Domaine de la Haute-Porte, with Annick Naintré's wedding, is now property of the family Duchemin de Vaubernier. Her husband, Antoine de Vaubernier was an enthusiastic hunter and strongly contributed to planning the hunting and shooting territories. It is also him who transmitted his passion for shooting to his son, Jean-Yves, the current master of the House. Nowadays, three generations of Vaubernier lived together at the Domaine de la Haute-Porte.
